Podcast McGee And I started chatting earlier this week over Bumble. He has a great profile and no humongous red flags, and kept up the conversation with interesting messages…and QUESTIONS ABOUT ME, (take note, that’s a must) which led to even more conversation and mutual appreciation for several awesome things: folklore, true crime, theater, doggo parenting.

He actually suggested a first date online, considering how busy I have told him I was going to be… I counter offered with a trip to the brewery near my apartment, this Sunday. he said that would be great and he wanted to continue chatting until then, which seems like it goes without saying but as you know common decency is not very common.

So far? He’s pretty cute, he can grow a beard, he works in theater and appreciates the same kind of art that I do, he dresses his dog up in Halloween costumes, so many green flags.

Also, we have about 16 mutual Facebook friends…I know because he actually very openly shared his entire name, which makes him less creepy than Candyman became, by far.

He also sat next to my best friend in third grade, she remembers him, although they are not current friends… He didn’t do anything wrong but she does suspect a touch of ADHD. I can work with that… It is only narcissists for whom I have a hard dealbreaker policy. Everything else in the DSM is totally acceptable, within reason and obviously contingent on behavior.

He’s cute! Let’s see how the weekend plans turn out…
